understanding

Paterson is the country's first industrial city plan. Established in 1791. The fall of Patterson was at this time an important factor for Patterson to succeed as a national industrial leader. The 77-foot waterfalls were used by many industries in Patterson to support its power. Paterson is a rich city that succeeded throughout the late 1700s, late 1800s and early 1900s (until the 1950s). In the mid-1800s, Patterson played a major role in the production of silk and was nicknamed the silk town.

The decline from the 1960s to the 1970s was due to several factors. During this time, many industries started to expand into the Midwest, while African Americans began to expand into the Midwest from the south. At the same time, African Americans worked as job seekers. With the economic decline, many white residents began to leave the city. The opening of a mall in nearby Paramas and Wayne has robbed the downtown area of a huge business.

The economy has failed, the unemployment rate is high, and Mr. Patterson is turning into a poor neighborhood. In the 1980s, crime increased significantly in the city. The crime rate dropped in the 1990s, but still high. Many initiatives are underway to rebuild the city. Despite bad reputation, crime rate and poverty, there are many places and things to do in this city. The city is very diverse and has a large population of Hispanics, African Americans, Italian Americans and Arabs of all nationalities. There are many parks, places to eat, places to shop, places to play, and places to see.
